From the design process through to the materials and construction, our focus is on providing durable and high-performance furniture that will last for many years.

• We use a significantly higher grade MDF than many school shelving systems which means our products won’t buckle and bow. We also edge-band all wooden products with laminate so they withstand the knocks of everyday life in a busy classroom or library.
• Our on-shelf display units are made from high- grade strong acrylic.
• Our seats have internal wooden frames to give maximum strength. We cover the seats with high grade foam and health-grade fabric which is wipe-clean, urine-proof, bleach-cleanable and fire retardant.

Safety

We know that safety is paramount in the school environment. You can be confident that all our products are safe. The BookSpace shelving range has been externally tested by FIRA, the leading authority on furniture testing, and conforms to British Standards BS 5873-4:1998. All freestanding units are stable and if a unit needs to be affixed to a load-bearing wall, wall fixings are supplied.

Environmental impact

The board and timber products we use are manufactured in the UK using timber from renewable sources.

5-year warranty

Our 5-year warranty covers any defects in materials and workmanship. We will repair or replace any product, part or component which fails under normal use.
